FAQ

  1. Do I have to know about offroading?

    No, not at all. All other members will be happy to teach you and show you how to off road safely.

  2. Do I have to have a 4x4 vehicle?

    Yes.

  3. What are the requirements?

    Our club requires front and rear tow points, a full size spare, a fire extinguisher, tow straps (no chains or metal hook straps), and 4 wheel drive capabilities.

  4. Is there any paperwork to join?

    Yes, there is a wavier that you must sign to join our club.You must sign the waiver in order to participate in any club activities.

  5. Is offroading safe?

    It is as safe as you want it to be. With this being said, allow us to explain. Yes, offroading can be dangerous without the proper knowlege of how to approach difrent obstacles and terrain. We are here as a club and will go through the proper procedure to be as safe as possible. We will not leave anyone hanging. We are all here to have fun and get home in one piece.

  6. Can I bring family or friends on club rides and events?

    Yes. We welcome anyone that a member decides to bring along. Please remember that you are responsible for you and your guests.

  7. Is it all just mud or are there trail rides as well?

    We will wheel anything that come our way. We understand people prefer different types of offroading. That is fine. We will do our best to cater to your type of wheeling. If the club is on a camping/wheeling trip, we can separate into multiple groups to wheel various terrain to keep our members happy.

  8. What happens at meetings?

    Who ever can attend the meeting will meet at the desired location, which is determind before hand.  We will discuss any upcoming events, concerns, answer any question that arises, and hang out afterwards

  9. Are there any fees?

    There are no fees to pay to hang out with friends and go offroading. But when official joining  the club Membership fees will be $20.00 for the year: fees will be collected once a year. Membership fees will go towards the cost of running Got Mud Central New Jersey 4x4, with this being said these dues will cover the cost of camping permits, as well as any other small club events. (In the event Got Mud Central New Jersey 4x4 take long trips or participate in a large event members will be required to cover there own personal cost).

  10. How old do you have to be to join?

    You must be 18 years old to join the club.Hold a valid drivers license, must show a minimum of liability and property damage insurance coverage and proof of registration on their vehicles

  11. Is anyone CPR and/or first aid certified?

    Yes. Andrew, Vice President who is CPR certified. He carries a first aid kit on all trail rides and other trips. If he is not present, Mike (President) has a first aid kit.  Many other members have CPR and First Aid exeperince and carry first aid kits with them in the vehicles at all times.
